Airport Updates

We're almost there! Robert and I are leaving for Punta Cana tomorrow morning and so we'll be out of the touch for the next couple of days. If you have any questions please contact the travel agent, it's a good idea to save the number on your cell phone.

Newark Group Flights: Margaret from Classic Travel will be at the airport on Thursday morning to ensure that all passengers make it on to the plane. Please be sure to be at the airport 2 hours before boarding. If it's raining or snowing please add a minimum of a 1/2 hour to you commuting time. The travel agent will be contacting all passengers if the weather is severe.

Arriving at Punta Cana: Once you arrive to Punta Cana and have your luggage, walk towards the exit of the airport and look for tour company by the name of Prieto Tours / Go Go Travel. They will also have a sign with our last names "Lebron/Burd". A bus will be waiting outside.

Clearing Dominican Republic Customs

When traveling to Punta Cana, you will receive a tourist card on your flight. Fill it out and make sure you don’t lose it – you’ll need it to exit the Dominican Republic. If you do lose it, they are available at the airport at a cost of $10.

There is a $20 US departure tax to leave the Dominican Republic via the Punta Cana airport. Make sure to keep this much cash so that you don’t slow yourself down trying to get onto your return flight. Note: this Punta Cana departure tax must be paid in US dollars so keep $20 dollars in your pocket.

Wedding Day Wear

Resort causal normally refers to polo style shirts, sundresses, linen pants, skirts and button up tops. Nothing too fancy, but no t-shirts, sneakers or jeans either. Please do not wear white, red or black. Cool and light clothing recommended.
